A Word from our CEO - Ron Mintle
 Welcome to the summer of Fun, Growth and Prosperity as many of us get flung into the future with going LIVE for the first time with new Mobile directories! We want to congratulate our Yellow Magic Mobile directory publishers and say “Welcome to the future, and it is apparent, the future has arrived.”
Special thanks also to CanWest who allowed us to demonstrate the MagicCarpet Mobile product using their Ottawa mobile directory LIVE on site at both YPA and ADP Conventions– Thanks again so much!
We also want to recognize our Yellow Magic designer and Project Manager for MagicCarpet Mobile, Mr. Sam Pretorius in our South African office, with whom many of you have had the pleasure to work already. Sam worked brilliantly on this project with several of our staff programmers and members to diligently get each directory up quickly and accurately. Kudos to the whole Yellow Magic TEAM!
 The 2008 YPA Trade and Convention show’s theme was “New World, New Tools” and MagicCarpet Mobile epitomized that theme as directory users become an evolving demographic of younger users, looking for quicker, and more targeted search results electronically. It was apparent to Yellow Magic that new tools had to be created to answer that consumer demand.
Information-on-demand is a never-ending technological growth area that is just now beginning to get tapped. Not only has variety become the spice of life and a very prosperous reality, the way consumers access and purchase their consumer goods and services has also changed and fragmented greatly. The most successful companies are fast to react to achieving complete market coverage by choosing various print and new electronic formats and channels of media to attempt to maintain and grow their market share.
As new electronic directories add reach, coverage and enhanced branding for each publisher, profitability also increases with several new opportunities for advertising and sponsorships.
 This year MagicCarpet Mobile was awarded the Gold Industry Excellence Award for Process Innovation by YPA and we put up several directory publishers’ directories from all over the world. We want to thank the entire YPA team and Cindi Aldrich, YPA Director of Membership, and Neg Norton, YPA President, for the beautiful award ceremonies and successful Convention and Trade Show.
The ADP Trade show and Convention in Orlando, Florida also demonstrated how quickly things have changed from being just a successful print directory industry into a megalithic multi-media directory publishing Industry. New technologies have allowed smaller publishers to better compete as websites/IYPs have been added, leveling the playing field for all directories on-line as each become searchable for keywords. Search marketing has become the key hub to success.
Advertisers are experiencing growth in sales with new electronic directories being bundled with the printed version. Recently, affordable and mobile audio video motion picture production and sound for IYP has been introduced to directory publishers by various global vendors and was a hot feature that was received well by the industry and covered at the ADP spring convention.
Yellow Magic has had the ability to support A/V files for some time, but is really becoming popular and an area of growth.
We want to also acknowledge and salute Larry Angove of the ADP for a terrifically exciting Convention this year and say farewell to Mr. Sig Fischer as he retires as Chairman of ADP. The ADP has always run a first class association which both Larry and Sig have steered. We will all miss Sig and wish him good luck on his future endeavors.
We also want to salute our Yellow Magic publishers who won awards at both YPA and ADP.

Yellow Magic has programmed several new reports which were a part of the V2.1 Release. We want to make sure our customers know what is available and reports seem to get over looked. There are now over 240 reports which can easily help you report and in many cases now export the data you want.

Yellow Magic has recently developed several new Features for SalesMagic, a mobile phone based sales automation tool. It allows sales reps to receive their sales leads on their mobile device, organize their appointments, get maps, correct listing information, and report the results of their sales call, all with their mobile device.
